Job Description Job Description A. Primary Duties 1. General
clinical diagnostic laboratory duties including CBC, CellSearch,
CMP, PT/PTT and urinalysis, as well as other assays. 2. Daily
instrument start up, QC, and shut down per protocol 3. Order and
run labs needed and enter results into EMR (CBC, CMP, Urinalysis
with or without microscopic, review slides and perform manual
differentials as needed) 4. Communicate/report all lab results to
Physician including verbal communication of panic values 5. Prepare
labs drawn for send out to reference laboratory 6. Complete weekly
cleaning of CBC analyzer as needed and maintain records as required
7. Perform maintenance, QC, and troubleshooting on all clinical
laboratory equipment 8. Clean lab as specified on daily checklist
9. Shut down laboratory daily 10. Order supplies from reference
laboratory as needed and keep up with lab inventory i. Ensuring
adequate inventory and supplies for clinical laboratory. 11.
Participate in proficiency testing 12. Adhere to COLA/CLIA
regulations 13. Act as back up and/or trainer to other MLT’s as
needed 14. Other duties as deemed appropriate by management B.
Backup coverage for shipping-receiving 1. Receive, document and
route packages accurately 2. Prepare outbound shipments and ensure
pickup by carrier 3. Reagent and supply ordering for Human
Applications Lab, as needed. 4. Assisting with inventory for Human
Applications Lab. C. Cross-training and coverage for Human
Applications Lab based on workload and department needs 1.
Appropriate documentation of instrument usage and maintenance
history. 2. Cell processing, such as, PBMCs, matched pairs, cell
culture, cryopreservation, FFPE and various bio-analytical testing.
3. Processing leukapheresis products. Such as via immuno-magnetic
selection, flow cytometry and fluorescence-activated cell sorting
(FACS), and isolation/identification of Circulating Tumor Cells
(CTCs). Growth and culture of primary human immune and tumor cells.
Assist in development of an ex vivo lymph node for tumor antigen
presentation. 4. Processing & labeling lab biospecimens for
contracted projects and assisting with shipping and receiving
including detailed inventory. 5. Adherence to FDA standards of Good
Manufacturing Process (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good
Tissue Practices (GTP), and International Society of Cellular
Therapy (ISCT) guidelines, best practices for cellular therapy
products and applicable regulations. 6. Work effectively in
compliance with American Association of Blood Banks (AABB)
Accreditation Cellular Therapy Standards and Foundation for
Accreditation of Cell Therapy (FACT) inspection for Immune Effector
Cell Standards Accreditation. Company Description BioCytics Inc is
