Job Title: Care Manager – Health Plan (Behavioral Health) Location: 100% Remote Start Date: ASAP (All 8 hires will train on the same day) End Date: At least 3 months, with potential for extension Schedule: Monday – Friday | Start: 8:00 or 8:30 AM CST | End: 4:30 or 5:00 PM CST Pay Rate: 35 Position Type: Contract Openings: 8 Conversion Potential: Possible extension, no current plans for FTE conversion Position Summary: We are actively hiring experienced Care Managers to support behavioral health utilization and care management functions for a national health plan. This is a fully remote role requiring strong clinical judgment, exceptional communication skills, and experience in mental health and substance use case management. Ideal candidates will be able to start immediately and train with the full onboarding class. Responsibilities: Provide utilization management and care coordination for members with mental health and substance use needs Review clinical documentation to determine medical necessity and appropriateness of care Communicate with providers, members, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate care plans Document cases and communications thoroughly and accurately using Microsoft Office and internal systems Apply knowledge of clinical criteria such as DSM, ASAM, and industry best practices to decision-making Contribute to quality care initiatives and program improvement efforts Required Qualifications: 5 years of experience in care management and utilization management Behavioral health experience with mental health and substance use populations Proficient in Microsoft Office and case documentation tools Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent typing and multitasking ability Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) and ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria Health plan or managed care experience Licensure/Certifications: Must hold one of the following: LCSW, LMFT, LMSW, LPC, RN Active licensure required (State and/or Compact) If you are interested, please contact Chin Yang at A-Line Staffing. 586-323-4194 | cyang@alinestaffing.com
