Job Summary:The Application Engineer will work on an engineering team to develop drawing packages per customer requirements and specifications for high-voltage switching devices. Other responsibilities include providing engineering support to manufacturing and sales departments, produce bills of materials for jobs, coordinate procuring of items required for jobs, and ensure manufacturing releases of jobs.Essential Duties:

• Create drawings for products, jobs, and customers. -
• Produce a complete bill of materials for jobs.
• Work with procurement to coordinate the procuring of items required for jobs.
• Ensure jobs are released in the system for production.
• Provide engineering support to the team. -Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • Experience: Must be proficient in the use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD (AutoCAD 2014 preferred). Pro/Engineer, Solid Edge or Inventor can substitute for SolidWorks. -
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access. -Preferred Qualifications:
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electric Engineering or Engineering Technology. -
    • Experience: 2+ years mechanical design experience.
    • Experience with SolidWorks 3D modeling.
    • Experience with structural design is a plus.
