Leader plays a vital leadership role in creating a safe,
structured, and supportive residential environment for the women
and children served at Restoration House. This position provides
day-to-day leadership for the Community Living Assistants (CLAs)
while ensuring the residential community operates with excellence,
safety, and compassion. Through strong supervision, clear
communication, and consistent accountability, the Community Living
Leader helps cultivate an environment where clients experience
dignity, stability, and encouragement as they progress through
their recovery and life-transformation journey. This role partners
closely with program staff, volunteers, and support teams to ensure
the residential experience aligns with Atlanta Mission’s standards
of care and ministry values. Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Supervision Provide direct supervision,
leadership, and ongoing coaching to Community Living Assistants
(CLAs), ensuring high standards of performance, professionalism,
and client engagement. Deliver training, accountability, and
performance management for team members, including providing
feedback, addressing concerns, and fostering professional
development. Plan daily utilization of staff and assign duties to
ensure effective coverage and support for residential operations.
Serve as operational support and back-up during staff absences or
high-demand situations. Scheduling & Operational Coordination
Develop and maintain monthly staff schedules to ensure appropriate
shift coverage across the residential facility. Monitor staffing
needs and adjust schedules as necessary to maintain continuity of
care and supervision. Establish clear workflows and operational
practices that support efficient and consistent service delivery.
Residential Community Management Oversee the daily residential
environment, ensuring a safe, respectful, and orderly community
living experience for all clients. Manage bed counts, bed
assignments, and room movements while maintaining accurate
documentation of residential occupancy. Address and mediate client
conflicts, utilizing sound judgment and trauma-informed practices
to promote resolution and community stability. Ensure residential
guidelines and expectations are clearly communicated and
consistently enforced. Policies, Procedures & Documentation
Develop, update, and maintain operational manuals, guidelines, and
documentation related to community living policies, procedures, and
CLA responsibilities. Establish clear goals and plans that
prioritize community living operations and support program
outcomes. Track and maintain accurate records related to
residential activity and operational metrics. Prepare monthly
statistical and narrative reports summarizing residential activity,
trends, and operational updates. Cross-Department Collaboration
Partner closely with the Client Support Services team to ensure
cleanliness, safety standards, and facility guidelines are
maintained throughout the campus. Coordinate with Volunteer and
Partnerships teams to support the implementation of volunteer
services within the residential community. Collaborate with program
staff and leadership to ensure a unified approach to client care
and residential engagement. Client Engagement & Orientation Conduct
orientation sessions for new clients covering community living
expectations, facility layout, and residential guidelines.
Facilitate basic life-skills or community living classes that help
residents successfully navigate shared living environments. Promote
a culture of respect, responsibility, and personal growth within
the residential community. Organizational Representation Assist
Development, Marketing, and Public Relations teams by leading
in-house tours and sharing insight into the residential experience
at Restoration House. Serve as a visible and positive
representative of Atlanta Mission’s ministry to guests, visitors,
volunteers, and partners. Qualifications You will uphold the

Position Requiremetns: 1–3 years of supervisory or team leadership
experience , preferably within a residential program, shelter
environment, human services organization, or mission-driven
setting. Demonstrated experience supervising and scheduling
frontline staff , including assigning duties, managing shift
coverage, and maintaining operational consistency in a residential
or 24-hour facility environment. Working knowledge of
trauma-informed care principles , with the ability to apply these
practices when supporting clients, managing staff interactions, and
resolving conflicts within a residential community. Strong
leadership skills , with the ability to motivate, coach, and
develop team members while maintaining clear expectations,
accountability, and performance standards. Experience managing
challenging or crisis situations , utilizing sound judgment,
de-escalation techniques, and effective problem-solving to maintain
a safe and respectful community living environment. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to
effectively engage with staff, clients, volunteers, and
cross-functional teams in a professional and compassionate manner.
Strong organizational and administrative skills , including the
ability to document policies, procedures, reports, bed assignments,
and shift schedules with a high level of accuracy and attention to
detail. Comfort working collaboratively across departments ,
including partnerships with volunteer services, facilities, client
support services, and development teams. Ability to manage multiple
responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining flexibility,
organization, and composure in a fast-paced residential setting.
Professional presence and communication skills necessary to
represent Atlanta Mission during facility tours, volunteer
engagements, and interactions with donors or community partners.
Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to remain in a
stationary position (standing, walking and sitting) Must have the
ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Must be able to
occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50lbs Special Requirements The
Community Living Leader position is classified as an Essential Role
. Employees in this role are expected to be available to work
on-site during emergencies, including but not limited to public
health crises, severe weather events, or government-mandated
actions. Work schedules and responsibilities may be adjusted based
on organizational needs, which may include occasional overnight
shifts to ensure the safety and continuity of shelter operations.
