What You'll Do The Vice President, Sales Sector (Business
Development - Protein), will serve as the leader of the Protein
Sector and work to develop strategies that enable organic and
external growth objectives which align with the Americold Mission
Statement.Essential Functions:Commercial expertise that supports
revenue and EBITDA growth in their Sector/Book of Business. Fosters
collaborative partnership to drive customer specific strategic
vision and roadmap.Manage, develop, and lead a team of Key Account
Directors and Customer Care Managers.Business Development strategy
developed and implemented for the Protein sector including programs
for: i) account management, ii) customer profitability / pricing
strategy, iii) new account acquisitionExecute Commercial Business
Rules and the Proposal Development Process to drive standardization
across the CPG sector.Build solid business development pipeline for
the sector to ensure: i) commercial continuity, ii) support client
mix strategy, iii) progress reporting and iv) diversification of
product/commodity mix.Support M&A activities
e.g. target due diligence customer analysis / market analysis
(clients, competition
as required.Working with other departments and relevant country
leadership in the development of Requests for Proposal (RFP)
responses and related follow-up.Expands services provided to the
existing customer base such as Transportation, Multi-vendor
Consolidation (MVC), value added services, and international
opportunities.Remote based role (USA) - #LI-Remote
What Experience You Need 15 years of business development
leadership experience in operational industries or business
services in the areas of supply chain, warehousing, distribution,
transportation, food and protein food production, etc.Strong
industry experience with specific knowledge of manufacturers,
processors, wholesalers, brokers, retailers, etc.Bachelor's degree
in business, sales, or marketing or equivalent training in business
or sales management, Masters a plus.Proven ability in strategy
development, program implementation, highly effective team
building, mentoring, planning and budgeting.
