Job Description:

The Sales Engineer role collaborates closely with the Regional Sales Executive team, helping to prepare and deliver custom technical product demonstrations to effectively communicate the value proposition of our products and services.
As one of the first points of contact, you will help lay the foundation upon which strong relationships can be built. You will possess strong product knowledge in combination with market awareness to position yourself as a trusted advisor both internally and externally.
As an integral member of the sales function, you will collaborate internally to establish best sales practices and optimizing sales processes. You will also leverage customer feedback on technical capabilities, using that data to help further evolve the SchoolStatus platform.

ABOUT THIS POSITION Responsibilities:

  • As a frontline point of contact, develop valuable relationships and engagement with target stakeholders.
  • Possess a keen understanding of buying personas and motivations. Adept at adjusting communication style to match the needs of specific personas.
  • Support Regional Sales Executives in understanding unique customer requirements and tailoring product demonstrations for maximum impact.
  • Collaborate and provide insight on bid proposals and RFIs.
  • Maintain a current awareness of industry news and specific regional market intelligence.
  • Be persuasive in overcoming technical objections with prospects.
  • Combating competitive threats and educating customers on SchoolStatus key values and benefits.
  • Assist with the ongoing daily management of approved CRM as necessary.
  • Engaging with peers on technical matters and helping to educate others on key values and benefits.
  • Attend industry events as necessary to represent SchoolStatus.
  • Work with sales management to drive sales through optimizing processes.
  • Have responsibilities to maintain and improve the demonstration environment based on local, state and industry knowledge. Requirements:
    • 3+ years of sales engineering experience preferably within a SaaS environment. Experience with instructional technology is a plus.
    • Established track record of delivering mission-critical demos to key prospects and clients.
    • Strong working knowledge of CRM (Salesforce). Marketing technology (Outreach) experience is desirable.
    • Strong work ethic with an eagerness to learn and grow paired with a mindset focused on growth & providing solutions.
    • Comfortable to work autonomously but also as a contributing and visible member of the team.
    • Demonstrated effective questioning techniques and interpretation skills.
    • Curios and comfortable in asking questions to develop your skill set.
    • Strong desire to evolve and move up within the sales organization.
    • Able to pass a criminal background check. Compensation: Your compensation package will be highly competitive and dependent upon your proven track record.
