Overview Open & closing dates 07/08/2019 to 07/17/2019 Service Competitive Pay scale & grade NH 3 Salary $78,446 to $121,264 per year Appointment type Temporary Promotion - Not to exceed 1 Year, may be extended up to 3 years Work schedule Full-Time Location 1 vacancy in the following location: Marietta, GA 1 vacancy Relocation expenses reimbursed No Telework eligible Yes as determined by agency policy Duties Summary About the Position: The pay band NH-03 incudes the General Schedule Grade equivalent to GS-13. Other initiative under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities Assures that team functions are conducted within the guidelines provided by higher authority. Provides advice to the Chief Management Office Commander/Deputy/Group Chiefs on the relationship and impact of team problems to total group and CMO programs as required. Provides leadership to subordinates and technical guidance to other CMO managers and their personnel regarding requirements for assigned areas. Interacts with other CMO managers and supervisors as well as with contractor officials to identify, coordinate and resolve issues crossing organizational lines. May assist in negotiations with the contractor involving rates and settlement of prices for unpriced orders under basic ordering agreements. Attends program meetings, participates in work groups, conducts special investigations and convenes meetings for the resolution of technical problems. Provides input to and/or personally conducts status briefings to the Commander and higher headquarters outlining assigned programs, projects, problems/recommended resolution, etc. Travel Required Occasional travel - Official Travel is required. 10% of the time. Who May Apply: Current Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Employee Current Department of Defense Employee within the Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics(AT & L) Workforce who are outside of the Military Components QUALIFICATIONS: In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level NH-02. Specialized experience is defined as:in directing a group of professional and technical employees responsible for the oversight and implementation of contract cost/price analysis. Direct or lead price analyst and contract administrators in pricing functions engaged in the negotiation, surveillance and implementation of contract administration functions of major weapon systems and related components. Education can not be substituted for experience. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Contract Management Contract Management/Support Written Communication Applicants must meet basic eligibility requirements such as minimum qualifications, and other regulatory requirements by the closing date of the announcement. BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT (Contracting Series): A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees AND at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management. (This requirement can be obtained within the degree or in addition to the degree). NOTE: You MUST submit a copy of your transcripts. NOTE: Current civilian personnel in DoD, who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000 are exempt from meeting this requirement. Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS-1102 on or before September 30, 2000 are also exempt from meeting this requirement. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
