YOUR ROLE
The Air Freight Product Development Expert will be responsible for
developing and managing air freight products and services with a
strong commercial focus to drive new business for the organization.
This role involves working closely with various departments and
regions, including business development, procurement, pricing,
operations, and customer service, to ensure the successful
implementation and continuous improvement of air freight
solutions.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Develop and implement air freight products and services that align
with the company's strategic goals and customer requirements.
Collaborate with the business development team to identify and
pursue new market opportunities and customer segments.
Strategize and collaborate with Air Product in other regions to
support business development opportunties between the regions.
Work with the procurement and pricing teams to negotiate
competitive rates with carriers and suppliers.
Ensure efficient and effective handling of air freight shipments by
working closely with the operations team.
Monitor and analyze market trends, customer feedback, and
competitor activities to identify opportunities for product
improvement and innovation.
Provide training and support to sales and customer service teams on
air freight products and services.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including customers,
carriers, and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry
standards.
Drive commercial strategies to increase market share and revenue
growth.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply
chain management, Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Air freight product development
or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of air freight operations, pricing and
procurement
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related
field.
Experience working in a global logistics company.
Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
Proven track record of driving commercial success and business
growth
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and
job specific software applications.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making
skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
