Position Details:
Title: Industrial Electrician
Location: Lithonia, GA - Box Plant
Shift: 3rd Shift - 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
2-2-3 schedule (48 hours one week and 36 hours the next with every other weekend off)
Compensation: $34.52/hour + .25 shift differential
$81,000+ annual W2 with overtime

Position Description: Industrial Electrician
The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting the plant's manufacturing equipment by performing maintenance tasks (including electrical duties) to minimize production downtime and improve plant performance. You will also be expected to accurately use measurement and test equipment, perform emergency/break down maintenance, and perform preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components; and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels.

Additional duties and responsibilities will include:
--- Ability to parallel all rolls, make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products.
--- Troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair all A/C and D/C drives and their control systems use.
--- Proficiency in all I.P. safety requirements (LOTT, Arc Flash, Hot Work, PreTask, and Lockout Exception Forms)

Requirements:
The ideal candidate possesses strong industrial electro-mechanical skills and prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

Industrial electrical ability/experience to include:
--- Skilled troubleshooting with volt meter
--- DC drives and variable frequency AC drives
--- Schematic reading and troubleshooting control circuits.
--- Troubleshooting PLC controls with a laptop
--- Program a drive by setting up the initial parameters.
Mechanical electrical ability/experience must include:
--- Servicing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
--- General mechanical maintenance support of production equipment

Interview Background Information: There is a standardized test that must be passed to move forward for this position, and that will take place after your initial interview. In the initial conversation, remember to bring up troubleshooting experience, process improvements, and your desire to be a team player. Detail your experience with various maintenance pieces-both preventative and corrective! Have a great example of how you were the go-to tech for a very specific equipment issue. IP holds annual testing that allows you to apply for more technical positions which, if earned, will give you the opportunity to move up into supervisory roles.
