Our client is currently seeking a Supply Chain
CoordinatorPosition Overview: We are seeking a skilled and
detail-oriented Supply Chain Coordinator with expertise in chemical
and raw material management to join our dynamic team. The Supply
Chain Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and
coordinating the efficient flow of materials, including chemicals
and raw materials, throughout the supply chain process. The ideal
candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication
skills, a strong understanding of supply chain management
principles, and specific experience working with chemical and raw
material logistics.Responsibilities:Chemical and Raw Material
Coordination:Coordinate and manage the procurement, transportation,
and distribution of chemicals and raw materials required for
production.Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate
delivery of chemical and raw material orders.Monitor inventory
levels and develop effective inventory management strategies to
minimize stock-outs and excess inventory.Maintain accurate records
of chemical and raw material inventory, including quantities,
locations, and expiry dates.Identify and resolve any supply chain
issues related to chemical and raw material availability, quality,
or transportation.Supply Chain Planning and Optimization:Work
closely with cross-functional teams, including production,
logistics, and purchasing, to develop supply chain plans and
schedules.Conduct demand forecasting and analysis to ensure
adequate inventory levels and optimize procurement and production
activities.Identify opportunities to streamline supply chain
processes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.Monitor key
performance indicators (KPIs) related to the supply chain, such as
on-time delivery, lead times, and inventory turnover, and implement
corrective actions as needed.Compliance and Safety:Ensure
compliance with relevant regulations and safety guidelines for the
handling, storage, and transportation of chemicals and raw
materials.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements
and industry best practices related to chemical and raw material
management.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to
implement safety measures and mitigate any potential risks in the
supply chain.Documentation and Reporting:Generate and maintain
accurate supply chain documentation, including purchase orders,
invoices, and shipping records.Prepare regular reports on supply
chain performance, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for
improvement.Analyze data and provide insights to support
decision-making and continuous improvement
initiatives.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in supply chain
management, logistics, business administration, or a related
field.Proven experience (3 years) working as a Supply Chain
Coordinator or in a similar role with a focus on chemical and raw
material management.In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles,
logistics, and inventory management practices.Familiarity with
chemical handling, storage, and transportation requirements, as
well as relevant safety regulations.Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve
supply chain issues effectively.Proficiency in using supply chain
management software and tools.Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers,
and other stakeholders.Attention to detail and the ability to
prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.Strong
organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as
