About
the role:The basic function of the
Maintenance Supervisor is to coordinate the maintenance and repair of a variety
of production machines and heavy equipment with minimal downtime. The maintenance
Supervisor is responsible for developing Preventative Maintenance plans for
manufacturing and mobile heavy equipment, capturing, and reporting data
regarding downtime, developing a budget for repair and replacement. Hiring,
scheduling and supervising maintenance technicians. If needed, this position
will oversee the work of outside contractors. This position is responsible for
inspection of the facilities and equipment on a routine basis to be determined.
This position will be responsible for developing maintenance tam members
consistent with the culture of the company.To perform this

you'll do:The duties and responsibilities
of the Maintenance Supervisor include, but are not limited to:*
Directly
responsible for preparing and monitoring maintenance schedules.*
Frequently
inspect the facility and equipment to proactively detect problems and
recommended repair.*
Partners
with departmental managers to identify opportunities for process improvement.*
Manages
the maintenance budget and advises Senior Management.*
Accountable
for timely assignment of all organizational and administrative objectives.*
Responsible
for optimal deployment of department personnel. Makes recommendations for
changing roles, coverage models, or team configurations to maximize
productivity.*
Align
reporting, training, and incentive programs with these performance management
priorities.*
Monitor
and manage project and repair timing to be on time and under budget.*
Maintain
the highest standards of safety within the department and the entire operation.*
Maintain
adequate spare parts to minimize downtime.*
Participate
in improvement activities.*
Participate
in day-to-day repair and planned maintenance activities.*
Communication
all challenges with staff or process to Senior Management.*
Any
other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Operations
Director from time to time.
Processing invoices/expenses as needed.
Assist with Press/Media Related Requests.
*
This
position will be working primarily indoors in an industrial processing
environment.*
This
position may be required to be in the outdoors from time to time or climb on
the roof if needed.*
The
employee will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures.*
The
normal auto and travel hazards will apply.*
Saturday
and Sunday work may be required.*
The
noise level in the work environment is high near the processing equipment and
so ear protection is provided and required.PhysicalThe
physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by
the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.*
Body
Positions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to lift, bend and move.*
Body
Movements: The employee must have a full range of body movements including the
use of his/her hands to fingers. The ability to bend the body, to reach for
objects, and to crouch when needed are also required.*
Body
Senses: The employee must have command of all five senses: sight, hearing,
touch, smell and taste. Specific vision abilities required include close vision,
depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.*
Strength:
The employee must have the ability to lift 30-40 pounds with regularity.Our
ideal candidate:Required:
*
Five
or more years' experience as a successful Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor
of an equivalent operation with a minimum of $2 million in annual sales.*
Experience
working on heavy equipment such as forklifts, skidsteers, and excavators.*
Experience
performing repairs and maintenance for manufacturing equipment, such as
shredders, bailers, and milling machines.Preferred:*
Ten
or more years' experience as a successful Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor
an equivalent operation with a minimum of $20 million in annual sales.*

ISO
compliance or certification exposure is a plus.EducationRequired:
High School Graduation or GED and five year's directly related experience.Preferred:
Ten years of maintenance supervision experience in the manufacturing or
