Until Filled POSITION TITLE: General Maintenance/Preventative Maintenance - 12 Month (Hourly)
RESPONSIBLE TO: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description
Responsible for performing and documenting preventative maintenance procedures on various building systems at all Coweta County school facilities.
Assist HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and General Maintenance trades as necessary.
Utilize the computerized maintenance work order system.
Comply with all applicable health and safety regulations, policies and established work practices.
Communicate with school building administration & District Level Leaders in regard to facility needs and other duties as may be assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Technical training is preferred in the areas of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and other related fields. Maintains a current Georgia Driver's License.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Ability to work independently and manage work load.
Basic working knowledge of construction and/or routine maintenance and repair procedures.
Basic computer skills and the ability to read blueprints and schematics will be considered a plus.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Successful recent work experience in a field related to this position.
