analyzing and preparing information related to employee
compensation with a strong focus in commission and bonuses. The
Compensation Analyst assists in the preparation, administration,
and communication of compensation payments, including base pay,
short & long-term incentive pay, sales incentive compensation, and
job pricing. Other duties as assigned. Essential Functions, Duties,
and Responsibilities:
--- Calculates and administers commissions and bonuses payable to
the sales team and other back office staff.
--- Researches and resolves commissions issues with employees.
--- Ensures that commissions and bonuses payable adhere to the
established incentive plan as well as organizational
guidelines.
--- Ensures a compensation agreement is on file for all sales
employees and others as necessary.
--- Prepares monthly reconciliations of commission payments to
ensure accuracy and researches items.
--- Partners with accounting to ensure incentive accruals are up to
date and accurate.
--- May assist with data collection for projects including but not
limited to: Salary Surveys, Affirmative Action Plans, EEO1
reporting.
--- Builds out models to analyze proposed changes to incentive
plans.
--- Reviews job descriptions and job pricing as compared to the
Bank's salary structure on an ongoing basis.
--- Performs special projects as needed: incentive plan changes,
budgeting, mergers and acquisitions, special reporting for
management and the Board, etc. Required Knowledge, Skills and
Competencies:
--- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
--- Intermediate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills
--- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
--- Ability to consistently meet deadlines
--- Strong attention to detail
--- Strong oral and written interpersonal skills
--- Strong ability to cultivate relationships with individuals at
varying levels within the organization Industry and Work
Experience:
--- 2+ years of experience in Compensation and Incentive Plan
administration, preferable in the Financial Services industry
Academic:
--- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required
--- CCP and/or SPHR-CP certification a plus Disclaimer: The above
