The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise.Essential duties and responsibilitiesTransports product to and from designated areas in the facilityLoading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucksMoving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facilityStacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructionsChecking loads are secureStacking empty palletsPerforming daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipmentRemoving machine attachments and waste material from machinesExamining products to verify conformance to quality standardsDumping materials into machine hoppersQualification requirementsGood math, language and reading skillsHigh degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environmentFollow instructions for operating equipment and keeping recordsExecute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe mannerMaintain a clean & safe environmentMay be required to use RF scanner gunWork Schedule - Saturday - TuesdayPhysical demands and abilitiesRegularly sitting on a powered industrial truckAbility to position body to drive backward for long periodsHaving a good sense of balanceHaving good eye-hand-foot coordinationAbility to judge distances and heightsAbility to work in varying temperatures, depending upon seasonAbility to maneuver or lift up to 50 lbs. if needed.Competitive Pay401(k)Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance PackageDisability and Life Insurance PackagePaid Time Off and HolidaysEqual Opportunity Employer - Minority / Female / Veteran / Disabled
