This is a complex, fast-paced, matrixed environment with a lot of moving parts. The challenge is in developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models. You'll be expected to interpret and analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources and use it to tell a meaningful story.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Analyze, review, forecast and trend complex data
  • Present analysis and recommendations for operational and business review/planning
  • Support short- and long-term operational/strategic business activities through analysis
  • Develop, recommend and implement business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes

    Required Qualifications:


    • 1+ years of experience working with relational databases and database structures (such as SQL, Oracle, Teradata)
    • 1+ years of experience developing in business intelligence/visualization software (preferably Power BI) -
    • Proficiency with MS Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) -
    • Proficiency writing/developing SQL queries -
    • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements.       Preferred Qualifcations:


      • Undergraduate degree -
      • Experience with data manipulation software (such as Alteryx) -
      • Healthcare Industry experience (ideally in claims, management, and/or prior authorization data)
      • Technical experience (e.g., GitHub, Agile methodologies, technical documentation for reference and reporting, Snowflake)
      • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills -
      • Proven excellent critical thinking and problem problem-solving skills
      • Ability to adapt in a challenging dynamic atmosphere -

        Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
