**Description****Job Summary:**The Enterprise architecture group is a highly influential group at Raymond James. It sets strategic technical direction and provides guidance to the whole organization. The Enterprise Architect role is both strategic and hands-on, driving solutions that align with both business and technology initiatives.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Define best practices, guidelines, frameworks, reference architectures. Establish strategic architecture direction for cloud service adoption, including standards and frameworks that are aligned with overall business strategy* Publish and Evangelize Reference Architectures across the organization. Drives adaption of architectural patterns, design policies, code quality and resiliency across the organization* Assess and ensure conformance to architectural standards, reduction of technical debt, and adaption of enterprise assets (systems, services and information) for key programs* Align with SDLC processes, product management and technology review groups to enforce IT check gates and Architectural Governance; Adept in Architectural frameworks and methodologies* Foster shared understanding of current and emerging technologies and architecture trends* Assess emerging technologies against security architecture to determine where they fill gaps, overlap with existing solutions or extend capabilities.* Collaborates with Business / Information / Domain Architects and Developer Leads with bi-directional knowledge sharing* Implement technical proof of concepts that demonstrate how an architecture or design would be realized and prove out key technical concepts* On an as needed basis may assist application teams in resolving complex and time-critical problems.* Develop and maintain shared libraries for common functionalities to use across the enterprise* May work a non-standard shift including nights and/or weekends and/or have on-call responsibilities**Qualifications****Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**At least two years of AWS working experience is required.Expert knowledge/experience in the following strongly preferred:* Hands-on experience in developing Microservices, Spring Boot based API's, Node* Architecture, design and working knowledge of Kubernetes platform* Hands on experience in AWS core services such as EKS, EC2, API Gateway, S3, IAM, Aurora etc.* Knowdlege of Distributed architectures, Object Oriented, Event Driven and Streaming paradigms* Knowdlege of Distributed Caching and Messaging/Streaming technologies* Knowdlege of Domain driven design modelling, System Design and Integration patterns* Experience in highly responsive user interfaces and Single-Page Application frameworks* Experience in enterprise security paradigms such as access control, authorization, encryption etc.* Well versed in relational / non-relational data stores* Profiling and performance optimization - threading, memory management, container optimization etc.* Experience with Cloud-native technologies and continuous delivery processes* Financial Industry / Wealth Management Background preferred but not required**Education/Previous Experience:*** Minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and five (5) years of related experience or a combination of education, training and experience as approved by Human Resources.**Licenses/Certifications:*** AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate* Oracle/Sun Certified Java programmer* CKAD(Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) Certification is strongly preferred**Job:** Technology**Primary Location:** US-FL-St. Petersburg-Saint Petersburg**Other Locations:** US-NC-Charlotte-Charlotte, US-TN-Memphis-Memphis, US-GA-Atlanta-Atlanta, US-MI-Southfield-Southfield**Organization** Technology**Schedule** Full-time**Job Shift** Day Job**Travel** No**Req ID:** 2200860Raymond James Bank is an EOE/AA and VEVRAA Federal ContractorPriority will be given to protected veteransEOE Protected Veterans/Disability
