We are looking for a passionate and innovative product analyst with
Agile expertise to join us in our Digital Transformation
journey.
To execute this transformation, we need people who will take the
lead within Agile product squads and are able to set, prioritize,
and evaluate the work generated by the squad to ensure high value,
outcome-driven delivery. The Product Analyst analyzes market,
company, and product data to help in the prioritization of products
and backlog. The Product Analyst supports the Product Owner in
identifying priorities for the squad.
The Product Analyst must be a user-centric team member within the
Digital Collaboration Tribe who enjoys working with teams to
discover and deliver exceptional products to users. You will work
within a squad and most directly with the Product Owner of that
squad. You will coordinate closely with your Product Owner and
squad to stay aligned on business goals. You will also represent
the voice of the customer, whether internal or external, and make
sure that squad members understand their needs and preferences. You
will support the Product team in backlog management/prioritization
and user story development. This role will leverage strong
collaborative decision-making, comprehensive problem-solving, and
substantial stakeholder management skills to deliver exceptional
business requirements definitions, as well as deliver sound
business value judgements and trade-off assessments.
Among your responsibilities, you will:
- Deliver business results and customer value
- As a member of a Digital Collaboration squad, work to
continuously deliver customer value each sprint.
- Deliver outcomes that support specific and measurable KPIs
- Stand in as proxy Product Owner, as neededServe as the voice of
customer or end-user
- Translating the voice and needs of customer into user stories,
engaging users as needed
- Engaging in continuous discovery (e.g., via surveys &
interviews) to understand customer needs
- Leveraging empirical and qualitative data to assess feature
performance and inform prioritization
- Analyzing tradeoffs involving customer value, cost, and
effort
- Representing customer needs to ensure they are understood and
integrated into the squad's work
- Proactively seeking customer feedback to learn and better
understand their needs and requirements
- Facilitating product demos to empower squad members with
real-time feedback from customersEnable the organization's new way
of working
- Modeling behaviors to support the organization's transformation
to a new way of working
- Actively creating and maintaining a squad culture based on the
organization and Agile behaviors
- Providing informal and formal feedback within context of larger
performance management system
YOU'RE GOOD AT
- Being user-focused and dedicated to understanding & learning
about user needs and requirements
- Operating with a transparency mindset, communicating clearly
and openly both above and below
- Bringing a data-driven approach to decision making
- Facilitating requirement discovery sessions with users to
understand business context, user intent, solution objectives, and
expected impact.
- Analyzing and breaking down the problem statement(s) and
applying critical reasoning and creative thinking to constructively
address business challenges and proposed solutions
- Collaborating with the development team on feasibility
assessment, change/UX on usability, and ensure that it works within
the constraints of the business, communicating to audiences across
BCG and the world. You build and sustain relationships with key
stakeholders, and know how to deliver effective and engaging
presentations
- Define and track KPIs that helps get the squad and products
closer to the OKRs.
- Identifying problems and opportunities to innovate across a
portfolio of products
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- Total 5 - 7 years' relevant experience as a product analyst,
business analyst or scrum master
- Agile Certifications, preferably Scrum.org (Professional Scrum
Product Owner) or Scrum Alliance (Certified Product Owner)
- Understanding of agile principles and ways of working
- Good understanding of digital collaboration products (e.g. MS
Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Trello) and meeting lifecycle (pre
meeting, in meeting, and post meeting journey)
- Strategic thinker who can converge ideas into tangible
products
- Highly organized & proactive resource manager
- Strong communications and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with JIRA or similar tool a plus
- Experience with Tableau, PowerBI or Alteryx is a plus
- Experience in consulting is a plus
YOU'LL WORK WITH
- Every member of your squad
- Internal customers, translating their voice and needs into user
stories and engaging users as needed
- Product Owners to align on priorities, dependencies and best
practices
- Vendors to understand trends and what is available in the
market
