Job Description
About the role:
As the Lead Quality Control Technician, you will conduct critical
biological, chemical and physical analyses of in-process and final
products to support manufacturing facility production
schedules.
The hours for this role are 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM.
How you will contribute:
Perform documentation and review of test data following good
documentation practices
Enter final data in LIMS and other computerized systems.
Perform advanced biological and chemical assays requiring precise
analytical skills and understanding of biology and chemistry
principles. Complete all testing, including special project /
protocol testing.
Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company SOPs,
product specifications, FDA, GLP, QSR and cGMP regulations.
Investigate deviations and write exception documents.
Participate in team functions to address production, increase
efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings and improve
quality. Perform laboratory and manufacturing audits. Audit and
update processes and facility SOPs.
Perform equipment maintenance and calibrations.. Conduct other
duties as assigned.
Role will account for 5% or more of the work described above.
The incumbent will perform other duties assigned.
What you bring to Takeda:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, or Biological Sciences with
Analytical Chemistry or Laboratory coursework, with 2+ years'
experience, or Master's Degree in Chemistry, or Biological
Sciences, with 0 years' experience.
Proficiency in both manual methods and instrumentation
analyses.
Knowledge of laboratory equipment including autoclaves, incubators
and analytical equipment would be ideal
Basic knowledge of statistical methods
Ability to meet critical timelines.
Ability to train others.
Use TrackWise, SoftMax Pro, and MiniTab software would be ideal
Knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures.

Important Considerations
At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As
a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing
facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the
product. In this role, you may:
Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear
protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This
may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish
and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing
environment.
Work in a cold, wet environment.
Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work
supplemental hours, as necessary.
Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite
that may require respiratory protection.
