Job Description:

Prepare preliminary self-storage unit layouts in existing or proposed new buildings. Prepare drawings used in construction projects for installation of coiling steel doors, and hallway partition systems as manufactured by the company.Excellent working knowledge and experience working with AutoCAD software.Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other data to interpret application of self-storage products.Interpret existing building as-built conditions and/or structural drawings, if new building.Understanding of ingress/egress requirements, and related general building codes.Prepare scale drawings using computer-assisted drafting software (CAD and/or REVIT).Incorporate diagrams, profiles, cross-sections and details to represent proposed structures.Complete understanding of installation methods and common construction practices.Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction projects.Summarize the required materials, enter figures on materials lists, such as description, quantity, size, and color.May require additional isometric details for clarification purposes.Complete drawings and documentation packages, according to required mediums.Create shop drawings detailing the intended installation method, description of proposed components and the specific dimension of materials required to complete the construction installation of the self-storage systems.Ability to work in a team environment, communicate effectively, use good time management skills to complete project tasks and meet established due dates.Other duties as required.Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 1-3 years related experience.Excellent computer skills required including a proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
