Reviews accounts payable invoices for appropriate general ledger coding and approval and responds to inquiries in a timely mannerEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reconciles accounts payable invoices, purchase orders and expense reports Researches and resolves any outstanding balances on accounts Maintains accurate records of accounts payable Prepares checks and enters data into accounting system for payment to vendors Communicates daily totals needed for checking account transfers Processes bank deposits as needed Prepares ad hoc and other reports as directed by management Acts as liaison between vendors and company to resolve outstanding invoices Prepares and distributes annual 1099 s to vendors & dealers Assists with special projects and training of other associates This position involves regular access to specified personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth. One to two years of accounting related experience in accounts payable a plusLanguage Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Mathematical Skills Strong math aptitude is essential. Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to explain simple interest loan calculations.Reasoning Ability Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should be familiar with a PC and have beginning to intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word software.
