Job Description:

East Lake Arbor -
Coordinates and provides recreation activities: reality orientation, current events, discussion groups, re-motivation therapy, sensory stimulation, cultural activities, religious services, special entertainment, out trips, special events, and one-on-one visits, as indicated.
Purchases and inventories supplies and equipment. Inspects recreation equipment to determine repair and maintenance needs and cleanliness.
-Encourage individuals to participate in recreational social activities so that all individuals are involved in activities by engaging in and organizing games, crafts, role plays, community activities, pre -vocational skills and parties, etc.
Communicate with staff for a seamless implementation of activities and ancillary activities.

Complete documentation on individuals, i.e., daily activities, behavior and interaction with others, etc..

Follow principles of infection control and prevention
Attend all meetings as required.
Record any safety issues within the facility


Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
Must be able to work harmoniously with other personnel.
Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. Must be able to life up to 50lbs
Is subject to frequent interruptions.
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with other staff.
Other duties as assigned.

Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays to meet the needs of our residents. -
