Responsibilities

The Regional APP Lead ("RAPPL") is a WellStar Medical Group provider that serves as the APP leader of WMG practices within an assigned region to include Medical Group practices. The RAPPL will report to WMG APP Division Lead for their specialty and to AVP of Advanced Practice. They will be responsible for supporting APP practice leads and Physician leaders within their specialty and collaborating with these leaders for optimization of APP practice within their service line.

The RAPPL will serve as the APP leader of the assigned region. In addition to maintaining an active clinical footprint, the RAPPL will support the mission, vision, goals, and values of the Wellstar Health System, primarily through collaboration with WMG APP leadership in shaping and managing the implementation of the WellStar strategy, while focusing on clinical excellence through the provision of quality, consistent, patient-centered care across the WellStar Health System as it relates to the practice of medicine.

The RAPPL will maintain an active and supportive role in the WMG APP leadership team where success is illustrated through practice growth, improved patient access, financial performance, and positive patient experience. They will be a subject matter expert regarding APP practice within WMG. They will support the efforts of the APP Division Lead and the AVP, APP Division in the vision, strategy, direction, and performance of APPs in various domains including administration and leadership, workforce planning and utilization, scope of practice and regulatory oversight, ambulatory and inpatient clinical practice, professional performance, development/training, and communication to APP teams.

The ability to communicate with all levels of staff that include providers, employees, and c-suite executives is a must. The RAPPL must have operational knowledge and leadership skills that promote a culture of engagement throughout the workforce at their facility and WellStar.
