Responsibilities

The Data Scientist at Wellstar values the ability to work along the entirety of the data science/machine learning stack. From partnering with the business to crafting a high impact strategy through data acquisition to ETL pipeline build, ML research, training, deployment and optimization to delivering actionable results captured in well crafted business metrics which are surfaced through dashboards/visualizations and used to validate the value provided by the health system.

The Data Scientist is motivated by the creation of reproducible code and research that delivers results. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new data products, maintaining existing data products and supporting the data pipeline that feeds them.

The Data Scientist collaborates across the enterprise on the definition and requirements of data science/machine learning products within an agile framework. This position is an integral part of establishing a new data science team for the enterprise under the direction of the Chief Data Office. As a result, this position will require the ability to oversee start-to-finish development of a wide array of technical solutions from a foundational stage.
