Job Description:
This role is responsible for the detailed operational
implementation of various Operations Management System (OMS) tools
& strategy. Supports operation with process improvement
initiatives. Responsible for the delivery of training and coaching
across all site functions to improve OMS maturity. The
specialization of the tools implemented could be Continuous
improvement, OMS, engineering/systems, Labor Management or Lean.
The individual must be able to develop and transfer the skills to
the operational team on site.
Key Accountabilities / Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects
concurrently.
- Ability to interpret data and derive solid conclusions from the
statistical analysis.
- Ability to conduct time studies and analyze properly
- Ability to identify and quantify process improvement
opportunities within existing operations to improve flow,
productivity and throughput.
- Be a point of contact for key stakeholders, establishing long
term coaching and mentoring relationships
- Identifies opportunities to optimize throughput, quality &
efficiency
- Analyzes work flows within and across all departments to
determine synergies between various departments
- Drives assigned projects ensuring timely delivery
- Drives troubleshooting within operations to reduce cycle time
and increase yield
- Ensures production procedures efficiently utilize materials,
methods and personnel
- Develops and maintains an effective closed-loop learning
process that enables operations team to successfully resolve more
issues
- Creates and maintains SOPs as required and
training/troubleshooting procedure
- Facilitate multiple workshops concurrently
- Assists in Site Diagnostics
- Ensure Operations Management System Transformation activities
are aligned with: company, objectives and creates value for the
company and our Customers.
- Ensure timely execution of deployment schedule of activity
across site
- Ensure the execution of the Operations Management System
Transformation Process and Continuous Improvement Process
deployment schedule as determined by Leadership.
- Ensure the documentation of Operations Management System
Implementation and improved processes in a format consistent with
relative Operations Management System, ISO and any regulatory
requirements for site / sector.
- Champion best practice sharing during the deployment of
Transformational and Continuous Improvement Processes.
- Provide associates involved in the Operations Management System
Implementation with the necessary knowledge to understand the
overall Operations Management System, Continuous Improvement
Process, objectives and related tools / routines
- Create and foster an environment within the Operations
Management System that promotes open free flowing involvement and
ideas
- Coach/Lead Operations Management System implementations
- OMS Assessment Review/Conduct
- Site Development Plan Reviews/Revise
- Tactical Plan Development / Review
- Assist/Facilitate Process Improvement activities
- Transfer skill and knowledge to increase local competencies
- 4 yr. Degree or Equivalent General Management or Above
Experience- 2 - 4 years of experience in large scale Lean
Transformation orContinuous Improvement/Engineering experience- 1 -
3 years of Logistic industry experience- 1 - 3 years of Operations
experience- Lean Transformation Experience- Lean Process
Improvement Skills (SMED, TPM, Daily Management,Standard Work,
Flow, Line Balancing, Value Stream Mapping)- Project Management
Skills- Communication Skills (all levels of the organization)- Team
Facilitation Skills- Change Management Skills- Continuous
Improvement / Engineering Skills- WMS systems skills, Set-up,
Programing modifications, System settings
