Responsibilities
- Exercise and promote safety
- Set up dies to prepare for production
- Obtain production schedule and have dies loaded, ready for
production
- Be available at short notice for unscheduled changes in
production
- Polish dies from previous run
- Work with die repair personnel to achieve a greater level of
knowledge and understanding in the use and function of extrusion
dies
- Understand BSA for related work areas
- Understand the hazardous chemicals utilized in the
department
- Other duties as assignedQualifications
- Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED
- Minimum Experience: Ideally 3 months' experience at UAC
- Certifications Required: Crane certification; Forklift
certification; Lock-out/Tag-out certification; Pallet jack
certification (certifications completed during new hire
orientation)Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively listen and
communicate ideas and thoughts to others; able to assimilate ideas
originated by others
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and
divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and
decimals; basic understanding of Algebra and Trigonometry
- Reasoning Skills: Ability to carry out and communicate written
and/or oral instructions; ability to learn how to operate complex
machinery; able to coordinate and accomplish a variety of tasks
simultaneously
- Physical Abilities: Regularly required to stand, walk and use
hands; must be able to lift 50 pounds at any time during his/her
shift; the physical demands described here are representative of
those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the
essential functions of this job; reasonable accommodations may be

- Schedule: 3rd shiftSafetyAll UAC employees must know and follow
job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training,
