SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIESThe Chief of Staff will act as an extension of the COO, working directly with the COO's Senior Leadership team, other FirstKey Homes executive leadership, and team members across functions. The Chief of Staff will support the COO in driving execution of key operating activities and strategic initiatives and serve as a strategic thought partner to the COO on strategy, communications, organization, and change management. The Chief of Staff will also take on ad hoc analyses, develop business plans, and support cross-functional projects, immersing themselves into the business environment to fully understand end-to-end operational risk and opportunities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Manage the flow of information and ideas between the COO, the COO's core team to ensure visibility and alignment across all functional teams, acting as an extension of the COO.
  • Partner with Executive leaders to formulate FirstKey Homes corporate strategy and long-term development plans. Assess strategy and development plan to identify key issues, evaluate options and develop action plans.
  • Become a master on FKH data and perform ad hoc analysis to support priorities and initiatives.
  • Own and manage the delivery of weekly COO staff meetings.
  • Support the COO in developing communications on a regular cadence across the organization.
  • Initiate engagement and on-going collaboration with operational business leaders to gain and maintain in-depth knowledge of the business to support development and execution of operational and strategic priorities.
  • Leverage and recommend data analytics that will drive the achievement of key initiatives and organizational goals. Create and foster a culture of accountability by establishing and reinforcing KPIs to drive company performance.
  • Stay abreast of revenue generation opportunities and industry best practices focusing on operational excellence and resident experience. Lead implementation & reinforcement of practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Lead special projects as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.

    • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
      • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management or equivalent experience and/or education
      • Minimum five years' experience in corporate development, business development, corporate strategic planning, finance or related work experience
      • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
      • Proven ability to interface and partner with executive leaders
      • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals and objectives
      • Proven ability to communicate compelling messages to senior management and business partners
      • Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis and financial models
        • Master of Business Administration preferred
        • Experience in management consulting
        • Experience working in property management, real estate or similar industry
        • Familiarity with interactive data visualization tools such as Power BI
        • Experience working in a fast pace, high-growth companyREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
