Job Description:

Measurement Incorporated is seeking a qualified English Language Arts Content Specialist to join our talented team of assessment development professionals. This position is eligible for remote working/ work from home. Responsibilities Confer with MI Project Director and client staff to implement plan to develop and field test English Language Arts items written to the Common Core or other State Standards. Oversee the work of item writers to assure all client specifications are met. Work with MI project staff and management to meet project deadlines and develop and maintain positive client interaction. Follow project schedules, style guides, and work plans to complete all project work on schedule and at the highest professional levels of quality and accuracy. - Identify and secure reading passages and other stimuli of appropriate content, readability level, text complexity, and interest to generate reading and writing test items. Work with client review committees to identify usable passages for development. - Train, provide feedback, and monitor the work of test item writers. - Prepare and present test items to review committees. Finalize items for delivery to client. - Prepare approved items for inclusion in field tests and prepare field test forms. - Prepare for and participate in field test item review by client staff and review committees. Record actions of item review committees and present results to Project Director. - Prepare and present professional development activities to clients related to test and item development. Job Requirements:Requirements: - - - - - - - - - Bachelor's degree in Education or English Language Arts; Master's degree preferred - - - - - - - - - Teaching experience in one or more elementary grades - - - - - - - - - Ability to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook - - - - - - - - - Ability to travel 5 to 10 days each year to meet with clients and review committees - - - - - - - - - Experience using the Common Core or other State Standards for English Language Arts - Compensation This is a full-time permanent appointment with a negotiated start time. All permanent appointments are subject to a 6-month performance review. The successful applicant will work at Measurement Incorporated and can expect excellent benefits including profit sharing, an ESOP, holidays, a generous paid time off (PTO) plan, and health insurance. - Salary is in range of 50--55K, based on experience and qualifications. - - To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.
