Overview: UtiliQuest, LLC a leading provider of quality underground utility damage prevention for over three decades, is seeking a career-minded, self-motivated Center Manager to join our organization. With headquarters located in Alpharetta, Georgia just north of Atlanta, we have offices located in states including California, Indiana, Ohio and the Eastern US from Georgia to New York with over 2,000 employees. Founded in 1998, UtiliQuest is a subsidiary of Dycom Industries, a leading provider of specialty contracting services to the telecommunications and infrastructure industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Directs and coordinates field activities of an underground utility locating center by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. * Creates and maintains good working relationships with clients, excavators, and employees. * Manages and motivates personnel through supervisors to ensure that workloads are completed daily. * Conduct daily and weekly planning meetings to ensure quality control is in place. * Prepares and operates to budget. * Works to reduce unnecessary expenses, damages and work comp or auto accidents. * Meets all field performance, financial and safety objectives of the company. * Observes activities to ensure compliance with government regulations. * Resolves employee issues and concerns. * Confers with company senior management to discuss policy and administrative procedures in regards to field activities. Supervisory Responsibilities: Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the field units. * Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. * Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and/or Experience: * High school diploma or GED required. * BS/BA degree preferred. * Two or more years of management / supervisory experience required.
