The ED / AFLAC / Transplant Technician functions as a member of
an interdisciplinary team to organize and provide quality patient
care services under the supervision of a licensed professional.
Proactively supports the efforts that ensure delivery of safe
patient care and services and promotes a safe environment at
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have a certification as a Medical Assistant, Emergency
Medical Technician, Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician
with pediatric or hospital experience, OR be a Registered Nursing
Student who has successfully completed one clinical rotation,
OR you must have at least one (1) year of previous
clinical hospital experience
- Competencies as defined by the department must be completed
within six (6) months of hire.
- American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers course
or the American Red Cross course equivalent, which is CPR/AED for
the professional rescuer, required within 30 days of hire
- No minimum experience required
- 2 years pediatric health care experience
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and documentation of ongoing
development and training.
- Must be able to successfully pass the Basic Windows Skill
