Summary of Primary Functions: Supervises the fabrication of all steel assemblies for production and erection. Directly supervises shearing machine operator, bar bender, rebar threader, stud welder and welder in the steel shop. Orders or oversees the ordering of all steel material and is responsible for all steel inventories. Responsible for safety, quality and production in the steel shop Machines, Tools, and Equipment Used: Welder, torch, grinder, safety glasses, hard hat, welder's table, hammer, welders shield, engineering details, welding gauges, computer Materials Used: Steel reinforcing bar, deformed bar anchors, steel plates, angles, Nelson studs, channel iron, ferrules, etc. Supervision Received: Reports to the Production Manager; works with minimal supervision Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises the Steel Shop employees Essential Duties and Responsibilities All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products Daily:

• Picks up engineering details for special plates, special haunches, etc
• Assist and directs welders as to number and type of standard plates and/or standard haunches to be fabricated according production schedule
• Assist and advise welders in fabrication of special plates and special haunches
• Fills out reports to account for hours worked in the steel shop
• Oversees the ordering of steel material for production and erection
• Maintains steel shop inventory including work in progress inventory
• Maintains inventory on all pre-poured corbels
• Maintains paperwork and records of material produced - including the production of items not on a BOM or field material request and turns this into Scheduling for inventory adjustments
• Responsible for managing galvanization process including all paperwork
• Welding training/certification As Needed:
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor
