The Senior Vice President, Financial Business Operations is a critical leadership position that oversees the strategy and execution of operational finance activities across all Solution Groups and major functions for Cox Automotive. Highly influential in driving the overall Cox Auto Strategic Plan. Success will include:

• Influencing through a team of senior finance professionals embedded with the business to drive execution and improvement in business results.

• Being adept at synthesizing large volumes of information to draw out insights.

• Understanding diverse business models across CAI with the ability to navigate across multiple functions and businesses to drive alignment and reduce friction.

• Maximizing processes and systems while overseeing a mix of financial and business operations functions inclusive of traditional FP&A, decision support/ business case modeling, Investment allocation and governance, accounting, customer and product master, and product profitability. Serves as a main point of contact for facilities and strategic sourcing through a shared service model.

This position reports directly to the EVP and Chief Finance Officer, sits on their senior leadership team and engages with business leaders across the Company to anticipate business issues and drive strong decision making through sound financial management and application of finance expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for the financial operations function for the 26 brands within Cox Automotive.

• Align Financial Business leaders around financial commitments, key investments, risks & opportunities, and performance to ensure consistency across CAI.

• Build and enhance a strong team that provides proactive support and results-driven execution of responsibilities to meet the current and future needs of the business.

• Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans

• Develop performance measures that support the group’s strategic direction

• Lead financial planning and analysis activities including:

o Evaluations of operating results

o Preparation of short and long-range forecasts/budgets.

• Present budget and forecast recommendations and analysis to senior leadership team

• Identify key business drivers to measure and report underlying business opportunities and risks and provide input for operational decisions

• Provide thorough and value adding analysis, followed by insightful and relevant recommendations

• Fiduciary responsibility to insure optimal resource allocation and capital investment

• Refine process and expectations to optimize pricing and large deal decisions through analysis and governance.

• Identify improvement opportunities in processes and tools through thought leadership, technology, customer feedback, and automation.

• Remain abreast of best practices and trends relevant to finance and related technologies

• Mature the decision support capabilities across Cox Automotive through robust business case modeling and managing the Growth and Investment Review Committee.

• Ensure the integrity and consistency of Customer Data and associated down stream capabilities. Provide information, tools, and process to fuel Customer Analytics

• Establish, maintain and ensure the accuracy of Cox Automotive Product Master and partner to drive systematic capabilities to Lead to Order processes and Deal Management.

• Operate and drive continuous improvement for Cox Automotive Product Profitability systems and capability. Drive cost model allocations that provide meaningful economic views of in-depth product lines. Educate the organization on Product Profitability views

Qualifications: • Undergraduate or graduate degree(s) in Finance or Accounting; MBA Finance is preferred.

• 15+ years of related work experience

• Experience working across complex matrixed organizations is strongly preferred

• 12+ years experience of demonstrated financial management, analytical, strategic, problem solving experience

• Understanding of Oracle EBS and financial planning, visualization, and analysis tools.

• Proven ability to develop structured and fact-based strategy reports (e.g. narrative business plans and presentations) that include succinct conclusions and recommendations.

• Demonstrated knowledge and proven experience of financial modeling, statistical methods and benchmarking techniques; synthesizing complex and diverse information and anticipating and effectively solving multifaceted problems.

• Proven leadership and teaming capabilities with the ability to operate independently, affect change across functions, and have a track record of delivered results.

• Demonstrated ability to build strong trusted working relationships with internal and external business customers and executive level management; influencing without authority.
