The Sr Change/Comm Readiness Manager is responsible for developing and implementing enterprise sales communication and engagement programs that promote sales readiness and effectiveness. At the direction of the Director of Sales Readiness, this critical position will work with stakeholders across many parts of the business to scope and deliver against relevant and impactful communication strategies that drive awareness and education with our enterprise salesforce around operational and go-to-market changes. The individual in this role must have the ability to build relationships and work effectively at all levels within the organization. Success in this role hinges on the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational excellence. Additionally, the ability to effectively lead and influence is critical given that this position will directly and indirectly manage other team members.

Build and lead a team to:

Collaborate and partner with Cox Auto Sales, Sales Business Office, and Internal Communications leaders and team members to build and execute holistic, enterprise sales communications and engagement plans – inclusive of messaging/calls to action, channels/tactics, and impact/success measures – in support of prioritized operational and go-to-market initiatives

Consult with stakeholders to assess communication and engagement needs – and then partner to co-develop approaches that ensure essential operational and go-to-market information is cascaded to enterprise sales audiences via preferred – and appropriate – channels

Support the development and adoption of consistent enterprise communication and engagement channels, actively managing reporting and metrics on impact and reach

Build and maintain communications and engagement editorial and collision calendar(s) and playbooks

Author communications including but not limited to sales leadership communications, newsletter articles, website content, emails, and meetings/events to drive awareness, education, engagement, and morale

Develop and manage to work plans for major communication and engagement deliverables – ensuring smooth and on-time execution

Develop and implement tactics for soliciting feedback from Sales team members to inform communication and engagement approaches and priorities

Partner with Director of Sales Readiness to continuously evolve and refine our sales engagement capability – inclusive of service delivery model, solutions/offerings, and tools/technology

Qualifications: BS/BA in communications or relevant field

8+ years of relevant experience

Strong expertise in copywriting and editing

Excellent communication (oral and written) presentation skills

Experience with EmailOpen (or similar marketing/communications platform)

Working knowledge of Sales and Sales Operations

Previous experience with the shaping and execution of leadership town halls, all hands, etc.

Preferred Education & Certifications:

MBA or MA in communications or relevant field

Other Desired Qualifications:

Experience in web design and content production

Experience with photo and video-editing software

Excellent team player and ability to effectively collaborate with others

Track record of working well in small, large, and highly matrixed group environments

Capability to facilitate effectively

Ability to explain complex ideas and processes simply (verbally and written)

Strong willingness to roll up sleeves

Track record of successfully coaching and guiding others during high pressure, highly ambiguous situations

Must be adept at quickly assessing and changing plans/priorities, and working simultaneously on numerous projects

Solid organizational skills including basic project management, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently, with minimal direction

Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities

Experience in direct or indirectly managing people
