Title: SeniorManager, International Tax
Reports to: Director,Tax
The Senior Manager, Internationaltax is responsible for leading
Newell Brands U.S. international tax complianceand tax accounting
related obligations. In addition, the Senior Manager,International
Tax will provide support for strategic planning,
research,acquisition and divestiture due diligence reviews and
integration, U.S. andforeign tax audits and other special projects
as required. The Senior Manager,International Tax will partner
closely with cross-functional teams and beresponsible for two
Review international portion of the U.S. Income Tax Return Forms
1120 and 1118, including information reporting on Form 5471, Form
8858, Form 8865, and all related elections and disclosures ensuring
accurate tax filings.
Review international portion of the U.S. tax provision and
collaborate, understand and assist on worldwide provision with
specific attention to APB 23 calculations and assertion
documentation, FIN 48 positions applicable to U.S. international
positions, and assistance with realizability of any applicable
Review and manage all foreign income inclusions on a quarterly
basis assisting with opportunities to minimize exposure.
Manage CFC attributes, such as earnings and profits ('E&P'),
PTEP, tax basis, etc.
Participate in drafting responses to inquiries, data requests,
audits, and proposed adjustments received from the U.S. tax
Identify and implement process improvements associated with the
international portion of the U.S. income tax return and
Research tax issues related to tax return preparation, audit
support, and tax planning as needed.
Review the interim and annual unremitted earnings calculation
Mentor and develop direct reports.
BS in Accounting or similar field
A minimum of 8 years in public accounting or industry in-house
tax experience; or any combination of experience, education, and
A minimum of 8 years of international tax experience with a
focus on compliance & tax accounting.
Technical knowledge of US taxation of international operations,
with a demonstrated ability to drive results and meet
