Specialist II plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless
operation of logistics and supply chain processes within the
organization. This position is responsible for maintaining and
optimizing the performance of logistics systems, equipment, and
facilities to support efficient operations. The specialist will
analyze maintenance needs, implement preventive measures, and
troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
By collaborating with various teams, the specialist will contribute
to the development of best practices and continuous improvement
initiatives. Ultimately, the goal is to ensure that all logistics
operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently, thereby
supporting the overall business objectives. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. 2 years of experience in
logistics, maintenance, or a related field. Strong understanding of
logistics systems and equipment. Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a
related field. Experience with computerized maintenance management
systems (CMMS). Certifications related to logistics or maintenance
(e.g., Certified Logistics Associate). Responsibilities: Conduct
regular inspections and maintenance of logistics equipment and
systems to ensure optimal performance. Identify and troubleshoot
issues related to logistics operations, implementing corrective
actions as necessary. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to
develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment
performance, and inventory of spare parts. Assist in training and
mentoring junior staff on maintenance best practices and safety
protocols. Skills: The required skills for this position include
strong analytical abilities, which are essential for diagnosing
equipment issues and developing effective maintenance strategies.
Attention to detail is crucial in maintaining accurate records and
ensuring compliance with safety standards. Communication skills are
necessary for collaborating with team members and providing
training to junior staff. Preferred skills, such as familiarity
with CMMS, enhance the ability to track maintenance activities
efficiently and streamline processes. Overall, a combination of
technical knowledge and interpersonal skills will enable the
