Job Description Job Description Sr. Trial Defense Attorney Sr. Trial Defense Attorney Position Overview The Sr. Trial Defense Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in civil litigation, particularly in insurance defense cases. This role entails leading trial preparations as first chair, developing case strategies, and advocating for clients in court. The attorney will leverage their extensive trial experience to deliver favorable outcomes for clients while adhering to legal standards and ethical practices. Key Responsibilities - Lead trial preparations and strategies for civil litigation cases. - Represent clients in court as first chair during trials and hearings. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with expert legal advice. - Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies. - Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements. - Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes. - Collaborate with junior attorneys and paralegals to ensure efficient case management. Qualifications - Barred in GA - 5 years of experience in trial defense. - Proven experience as first chair in civil litigation, particularly in insurance defense cases. - Strong knowledge of trial procedures and courtroom etiquette. - Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
