are looking for an IT Project Engineer to be an integral part of
the technology team at GAC. This position supports and executes
campus-wide infrastructure and systems initiatives including
networking, structured cabling, access control systems, server
environments, and cloud-integrated services. This role combines
hands-on infrastructure work with systems administration support
and is designed as a growth pathway toward a Systems Administrator
role. Responsibilities: Participate in the planning, deployment,
and support of technology initiatives including cloud migrations,
Microsoft 365/Azure services, hardware refresh cycles, network
upgrades, and security improvements. Assist with administration and
support of core systems including Windows Server, Active Directory,
Microsoft 365, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, virtualization platforms, and
campus server infrastructure. Support campus network and
infrastructure projects including installation and maintenance of
switches, wireless systems, fiber backbone infrastructure, and
structured cabling (Cat6/Cat6A). Install and support low-voltage
and infrastructure systems including access control devices, badge
readers, controllers, and UPS systems protecting critical
equipment. Maintain infrastructure documentation, assist with
troubleshooting system and network issues, and help ensure reliable
and secure technology operations across campus. Performs other
duties as required. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Capabilities
Windows Server ,Active Directory and Microsoft 365 and Azure AD
DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP networking fundamentals Enterprise networking
and Wi-Fi environments Structured cabling and fiber infrastructure
Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar) Access
control systems UPS infrastructure and power protection systems
Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools Strong written and
verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate productively
with customers and team members. Ability and willingness to learn,
share knowledge, and exchange ideas in a dynamic environment.
Strong analytical troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
Must be able to read written or electronic documents Education and
Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information
Systems, or related field. Three or more years of experience in
related field Qualified experience supporting technology in an
educational environment preferred or equivalent combination of
formal education and experience. Physical Requirements: Must be
able to be stationary for prolonged periods at a desk while working
on a computer. Must be comfortable working on ladders and lifts
while installing or servicing infrastructure such as cabling,
wireless access points, and other network equipment.Must be able to
lift up to 60 pounds at times. Must be able to traverse between
office buildings/facilities on campus. Work Schedule : This role
supports campus infrastructure projects and may require occasional
evening or weekend work to complete network upgrades, system
migrations, or infrastructure maintenance outside of school
