Top Skills – Must Haves Education: Associate degree in a related
discipline or equivalent relevant experience Experience: 2 years of
applicable instructional design or learning development experience
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or additional
relevant experience Secondary Skills – Nice to Have Proficiency
with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Rise 360 preferred)
Experience developing asynchronous learning modules and
microlearning content Strong instructional writing skills
(instructional text, scripts, job aids) Knowledge of adult learning
theory and instructional design methodologies Experience
collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop
training content Experience using knowledge platforms such as
Atlassian Confluence Familiarity with graphic design and multimedia
tools for content development Basic understanding of HTML/HTML5 for
formatting or customization Knowledge of accessibility standards
for learning content (ADA / WCAG) Job Description The Instructional
Designer is responsible for developing high?quality learning and
knowledge resources that support project teams and organizational
stakeholders. This role designs engaging asynchronous training,
creates practical job aids and toolkits, and translates complex
processes into clear, accessible guidance. The position works
closely with subject matter experts across technical and
operational areas to design learning experiences, develop knowledge
resources, and maintain an accessible training ecosystem aligned
with organizational standards and branding. Key Responsibilities
Learning Design & Development Design and develop eLearning content,
including courses, videos, animations, voiceovers, job aids, and
microlearning modules Translate complex technical or organizational
processes into engaging, easy?to?understand instructional content
Build visually appealing self?paced modules using authoring tools,
animation software, and graphic design tools Write instructional
copy, scripts, and storyboards for courses and multimedia learning
assets Apply adult learning principles and instructional design
methodologies to create effective learning experiences Knowledge
Resource Development Develop toolkits, quick guides, process
documentation, and knowledge base content Organize and maintain
knowledge resources within platforms such as Confluence or internal
knowledge repositories Create job aids and reference materials that
support real?world application of training Stakeholder
Collaboration Partner with SMEs to identify training needs and
translate expertise into instructional materials Conduct SME
interviews and reviews to ensure accuracy and usability of learning
content Support the transition of instructor?led training into
scalable asynchronous formats Project Management Manage multiple
learning and knowledge development projects simultaneously Maintain
project documentation, content files, and version control Evaluate
training effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out
of Atlanta, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is
$30.36 - $39.89/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits
and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
