Job Description:
Cox Automotive is seeking a Data Governance Manager to join our
IT & Data Management team. In this pivotal role, you will be
responsible for overseeing the organization's data governance
framework, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with
both internal policies and external regulations. Leveraging your
expertise, you will spearhead initiatives to enhance data quality
and facilitate efficient data management practices across all
automotive operations. Your strategic insights and leadership will
directly contribute to optimizing our business processes,
supporting car manufacturers, dealers, and buyers through superior
data-driven solutions. Develop and implement comprehensive data
governance policies and procedures. Collaborate with IT, legal, and
business teams to ensure data compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other
regulatory frameworks. Manage and mentor a team of data stewards
and data analysts. Lead data quality improvement initiatives to
ensure accuracy and reliability of corporate data. Liaise with
stakeholders to promote data governance practices and resolve
data-related issues. Oversee the creation and maintenance of a data
dictionary and metadata repositories. Monitor data management
trends and technologies to recommend and implement upgrades and
improvements. Strong leadership and project management abilities
