JOB TITLE: Web Content Developer JOB LOCATION: Remote WAGE RANGE : 55 - 60/ hour JOB NUMBER: 8567 Duration: 3 months

Job description: Working under the direction of a client, write, edit, and develop website content that will motivate users to regularly access the site to learn or do things they find valuable.

• May develop content to promote a new program, service or offering, to explain policy, process or procedure aimed at reducing customer service burden on a Harvard department or program.
• May migrate large volumes of content to a new information architecture, website, or web publishing platform.
• May write help text, self-service prompts or instructions, FAQs, blog posts, catalog entries, profiles, stories, or announcements.
• May gather user feedback for website content improvement and enhancements.
• May review website usage statistics and search logs to inform content strategy.
• May restructure or rewrite content for greater clarity or effectiveness, in some cases following a provided style guide.
• Must have understanding and proven skill at writing effective, searchable, scannable content for the web.
• May be asked to keywork or tag content using provided taxonomy.
