Job Description:

The Field Technical Services Engineer will provide a full range of field technical support to the GCP Building Envelope business which will result in a better customer understanding and use of our products, reduce liability, build closer customer relations, and a reinforcing of the "expert" image in the market. The Field Technical Service Representative will work closely with the sales team and regional manager in identifying opportunities for business and customer growth through improved field use of GCP portfolio of products and systems and will leverage the field technical role for sales opportunity identification. This position will coordinate with the regional manager and local sales teams to implement growth strategies and will work with the GCP Technical Services, Marketing and R&D on various development projects, national training programs and assist in managing our warranty program.Optional Locations; AtlantaCharlotteOrlando Required Skills:

• Must be a self-starter
• Three to five years technical and or technical sales service experience.
• Strong writing/oral communication skills
• Strong planning skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Should possess good organizational skills and a disposition that is conducive to working on multiple assignments within restricted time limits.
• Strong computer skills
• Construction industry experience desirable.
• Has broad knowledge of services, products used in the commercial building envelope market
• Knows and has a deep understanding of building science principals, with a specialty in building envelope.
• Understands and knows various spray rigs, which are commonly used in the building envelope market.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently meet customer expectations and work as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to discuss business issues and propose appropriate product solutions.
• Exceptional sales and technical orientation, comfortable with maintaining complex relationships, across multiple geographies.Experience:
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: field trials during product development, introduction of new products, troubleshooting field problems, and technical support activities.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred.
  • Bilingual/Spanish speaking would be a plus. Expected overnight travel is greater than 50%. Travel outside the Region is to be expected to support full business needs.Education Level:Associates or bachelor's degree preferred, in engineering, construction or related fields
