Reasonable accommodations for medical and religious objections will of course be considered.Keep reading to learn more about this opportunity to join the Cox family of businesses.Responsible for working with business partners and technology stakeholders and other team members to identify and manipulate complex software data in support of a software asset management (SAM) platform. The individual will focus on Software Asset Management, Compliance, and Governance activities as part of the SAM program to deliver recommendations, drive accountability, and promote awareness of best practices and cost savings.Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize software license use through harvesting by analyzing consumption data and entitlements
  • Identify and remediate under-licensed software deployments
  • Provide guidance on nonrenewal of software license maintenance due to non-usage or cancellations
    • Software Asset Portal administration:
      • Add and remove users to licenses for various software products (examples but not limited to: MSDN Visual Studios, Postman, GitKraken, Jetbrains, Pluralsight Skills, MURAL, Articulate 360, Smartsheets)
      • Manage software portals by analyzing active user data against OIM to ensure authorized user access
      • Provide guidance to disable inactive users from portal for software license subscription harvesting
        • Work with stakeholders on software purchases and renewals.
        • Create and update contract records in our repository to keep an accurate database
        • Participate in SRB (Software Review Board). Help monitor new software purchase requests and verify key data elements are in the ticket and monitor and escalate, when necessary, the SRB review/approval process
        • Work with boundary partners to ensure necessary steps are completed before a purchase requisition can be placed
        • Create and receive on purchase requisitions in the Oracle system and submit tickets to have suppliers setup
        • Answer stakeholder questions regarding contracts, orders, inquiries, outages, billing, and any other topic regarding software supported by Cox Automotive
        • Document requirements and operational processes in support of SAM program
        • Educate boundary Partners and promote software asset management (SAM) technical standards/best practices
        • Educate boundary partners and promote compliance program activities to optimize spend and limit risk
        • Perform regular data analysis on large data sets as required for software license compliance
        • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
        • Help establish and educate internally operational processes and policies in support of the SAM programExperience
          • Knowledge of network infrastructure, database, and server technologies
          • Knowledge in IT infrastructure discovery tools (Experience is a PLUS using Zylo, IBM ILMT, Big Fix Console, IBM Passport Advantage, Service Now Sam Pro)
          • Superior quantitative, analytical, problem-solving skills
          • Strong cross-functional collaborative team skills
          • Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
          • Ability to gather and document business and technology requirements
          • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
          • Thorough knowledge of flowcharting methods and reporting tools
          • A self-starter with excellent motivation, leadership, and ingenuity
          • Excellent organizational skillsQualifications:
            • Bachelors in computer science, Information Systems / Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
            • Minimum 4 years relevant technical and business process experience
