free, open enrollment, college-preparatory schools dedicated to

Summary: The Human Resources Associate is responsible for the
execution of day-to-day human resources functions at KIPP Atlanta
Schools. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role
provides essential administrative, systems, and customer service
support across HR functions, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality,
responsiveness, and compliance with internal policies and external
regulations. The Human Resources Associate serves as a frontline
resource for employees, supports employee engagement initiatives,
and plays a critical role in maintaining accurate, up-to-date
employee records and HRIS data Job Responsibilities: Employee
Support & HR Services 40% Serve as a first point of contact for HR
inquiries, responding to inquiries with professionalism, accuracy,
and timeliness. Actively monitor and support the HR inbox. Maintain
strong working knowledge of employee resources, benefits, and HR
policies to support employee questions. Process employment
verifications, Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF), and
employment-related documentation for current and former employees.
Support the HR team with large-scale HR events, including open
enrollment sessions, staff engagement activities, and employee
meetings. Manage the Substitute Vendor Partnership for their
portfolio of schools. Serve as primary substitute vendor contact
and actively manage substitute portfolios from preboarding to
placement at schools. Employee Records, Systems & Data Management
40% Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date employee files
within the HRIS system, including required employment
documentation. Ensure employee records are consistently updated to
reflect changes in employment status, compensation, and employment
history. Manage background check processes for employees,
substitutes, and contractors in accordance with policy and
compliance requirements. File, upload, audit, and manage employee
documentation to ensure data integrity and compliance. Archive
inactive and former employee files in accordance with record
retention requirements. Distribute employee handbooks and track
completion of required acknowledgment forms. Support HR Manager in
processing verifications of experience and related employment
documentation. Support HR Manager in processing employee
separations. Employee Engagement & Compliance Support 20% Support
the execution of employee engagement initiatives in partnership
with the Human Resources Manager and the Talent Team. Assist with
gathering employee engagement data, such as exit interview
information and maintaining related documentation. Support the
maintenance, implementation, and communication of human resources
policies and procedures. Assist with compliance oversight by
ensuring adherence to internal policies and applicable federal,
state, and local employment regulations. Support audits, reporting,
and data requests related to HR compliance, records management, and
HRIS accuracy Regularly audit training requirements for employees
and work to ensure full employee compliance with all mandated
training sessions. Process employment verifications and maintain
documentation of Years of Experience (YOE) verification. Review and
approve contractor clearance documentation in partnership with HR
and Operations. Qualifications Required: Associate’s degree
required Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources or a
Human Resources–adjacent administrative role. Human Resources
certifications or specialty credentials preferred Strong written
and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple
priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated
problem-solving skills and ability to implement solutions. Ability
to handle sensitive information with discretion and
professionalism. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience
managing or supporting HRIS platforms and maintaining employee data
accuracy. Experience working in a school district, charter network,
or education-based organization. Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation is competitive and aligned with KIPP Atlanta Schools’
leadership salary bands. The salary range for this role is
$55,000–$80,000 and is based on experience, qualifications, and
internal equity. Most new hires are placed in the lower to
mid-range of the salary range. Placement near the top of the range
is uncommon at hire and reserved for individuals who exceed role
qualifications through depth of expertise, leadership maturity, and
proven results leading complex initiatives with sustained,

Work Conditions: This position requires: This role requires
schedule flexibility; work hours vary based on campus needs and may
include evenings and occasional weekends. This position has hybrid
flexibility but does require regular presence on campus and in
schools and in required meetings around the region; Must be based
in Atlanta This position requires routine physical activity
associated with normal office environments. This position may
require the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25
