WellStar Spalding Regional Hospital is currently seeking an Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator - to join the Out-patient Wound Center team!
The Clinical Coordinator is a registered professional nurse who functions under the Department Director and provides nursing care of wound care and hyperbaric patients, plans and oversees departmental staff nursing and
technologist activities ensuring effective nursing services are provided, and adherence to policies, procedures, standards, and regulations. A multidisciplinary team approach to care is utilized. Under the direction the Wound
Care Department Director the Clinical Coordinator will promote clinical competency as well as maintain clinical quality control through leading and supporting quality and patient care efforts as it relates to back office clinical
operations is responsible for providing leadership and assistance in facilitating activities/services for a department.
The Clinical Coordinator has shared responsibility for supporting and adhering to standards of practices, system, and department policies and procedures, and ensuring quality patient care. Other responsibilities include assisting
with ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements by all team members, visitors and providers. Key responsibilities of the RN Clinical Coordinator include ensure satisfaction, appropriate reporting, coordination
of departmental functions, process improvement, vendor relations, equipment and supplies, service recovery, employee trust and engagement, and staff education.
The Clinical Coordinator will work in collaboration with the manager to maintain trust, retention, and recruitment. The Nursing Clinical Coordinator is a subject matter expert to all levels of nursing staff and nursing management
for facility, clinical, and surgical practices. He/she fosters positive communication and collaboration practices for physicians and staff. The Nursing Clinical Coordinator is responsible for Performance Improvement and quality
assurance aspects of functional area.
Required Minimum Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree.
Required Minimum Certification: Registered Nurse, actively licensed in the state of Georgia. Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association on the first day of employment in position.
Required Minimum Experience: Two (2) or more years Med/Surg nursing experience required. Two (2) or more years Wound Care nursing experience preferred.
