Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 8 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 6, 2026 - Length: 8 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgery/Trauma Med/Surg position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in a comparable setting. Details - Located in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center - Unit 6B – Surgery/Trauma, focusing on spinal, neuro, trauma, and surgical patients, including gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia cases - 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week - 4 weekend shifts required per month - Block scheduling is not approved on most units - No on-call requirements - Epic EMR experience is required Requirements - Active GA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand - Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in a similar-size, high-volume setting - Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments with complex and fast-paced cases - Background in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe case types - Epic EMR proficiency required - Current BLS certification required Additional Information - Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered for this role - No RTO (time off requests) will be approved for this assignment - Local candidates are accepted for this position - Certifications and active license required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-685255.
