Overview: PIEDMONT HENRY HOSPITAL IMAGING DEPARTMENT Imaging

OurImagingdepartment hastheir own transporters and patient lift
equipment to help move patients for imaging exams.We have8, 10 and
12hourshiftsas well as weekendoptionpay.Our department includes
X-ray Techs, CT Techs, MRI Techs, Ultrasound Techs, Mammography
Techs, Interventional Radiology Techs, OR X-ray Techs, Unit
Secretaries, Transporters, RNs, PAs, and Radiologist. We are
a259-bedhospital, a level III trauma center, a level III neonatal
intensive careunitand stroke certified. OurEmergencyroom sees
about100,000 patientsa year. Our Imaging department consist of the
following: X-ray 3 Routine Rooms & 2FluoroRooms (86,000 exams per
year) CT 4 CTSiemensrooms (72,000 exams per year) MRI` 2 MRI units
(1.5T Siemens & 3T GE) (10,000 exams per year) Ultrasound
3SiemensRooms (21,000 exams per year) Breast Health Center
4HologicDiag/Screening Rooms & 1 DEXA (23,000 per year) IR 1GERoom
(2,500examsper year) Outpatient DiagnosticCenter CT,MRI,
Mammography & X-ray(11,000 exams per year) Surgery (OR) 5 GE OEC
C-Arms CSU Pre and Post unit for patients receiving moderate
sedation Responsibilities: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms
within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic
conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of
disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance
examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the
direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists
provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal,
pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Demonstrates ability to perform
advanced MR imaging and is competent/proficient with
cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex
technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.
Qualifications: Education Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic
Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training
program Required Work Experience 2 years experience as an MRI
Technologist Required Licenses and Certifications (MR) ARDMS or
ARRT - Magnetic Resonance Registered by the American Registry of
Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) (MR) Upon Hire Required
and Advanced certification by the ARRT in MRI (MR) Upon Hire
Required and BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required Business
