Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Tele Job Details: • Must have prior travel experience and experience with specific cardiac drips, diuretics, anticoagulants, and insulin drips • Required experience with: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin, Bumex, Lasix, Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin, and insulin drips • Minimum 1 year experience required; first-time travelers not accepted • Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics • Patient ratios: 1:5-6 during days/nights, 1:6 on weekends; 32-bed unit • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred • Must work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere • Floating required within facility/scope of practice as needed • Call requirements are rare with 2-hour response time • Holiday work required based on assignment period (1-2 holidays must be worked if they fall during assignment) • Scrub color: Navy Blue • Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed • Epic charting system preferred, also uses Pyxis and SBAR • Must manage patients with overflow IMCU conditions, arrhythmias, cardioversion, cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal and pulmonary conditions • Care for post-cardiac catheterization patients, TR bands, DKA, occasional orthopedic or CVA overflow patients • Skills required: telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, heparin protocols Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 32-bed telemetry unit that serves as an overflow IMCU, providing specialized cardiac and medical-surgical care. The facility features comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
