Job Description:
Georgia Hospice Care (GHC) is seeking a compassionate and
skilled Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our team dedicated to
providing end-of-life care that cherishes the dignity and the
personal history of each patient. In this role, you will be
responsible for delivering specialized nursing care to pediatric
patients with life-limiting illnesses in the comfort of their
homes. The ideal candidate will have a heart for service, a
profound ability to communicate with young patients and their
families, and an unwavering commitment to enhancing patient comfort
and quality of life. Provide comprehensive nursing care to
pediatric patients in a hospice setting Assess patients' conditions
and chart their observations Administer medications and treatments
as prescribed by attending healthcare provider Collaborate with
physicians and other healthcare professionals to create and
evaluate customized care plans Offer support and counseling to
patients' families, explaining conditions and treatments Ensure
that the physical, emotional, and social needs of pediatric
patients are met Maintain confidentiality and documentation
accurately and within legal parameters Exceptional pediatric and
neonatal nursing skills Strong interpersonal and communication
skills Ability to work compassionately with diverse family
situations Highly organized and attentive to detail Proficiency in
managing multiple patient-care priorities Knowledge of palliative
care approaches specifically designed for children Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Active Registered
Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia Certification in
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) recommended Certification in
Hospice and Palliative Nursing (CHPN) would be advantageous
