Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Jasper, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 8 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position in a 12-bed split critical care unit, requiring a minimum of 1 year of ICU experience and an active GA or compact RN license. /n /n Responsibilities/n - 12-bed split ICU unit with 6 beds on the 2nd floor (higher acuity) and 6 beds on the 1st floor (lower acuity) - Patient population includes critically ill medical/surgical patients with conditions such as sepsis, cardiac arrest, cardiovascular disease, respiratory failure, alcohol/drug overdose and withdrawal, post-op surgical care, GI bleeding, end-of-life/comfort care, and COVID-19 complications - Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 on the higher acuity floor and 1:3 on the lower acuity floor (with PCT support) - Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM - Every other weekend required - No on-call responsibilities - Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Local candidates are accepted - RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment - Holiday coverage is expected: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2 of them - Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counted as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counted as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counted as 1) - No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the posted night shift schedule is firm - Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit - Travelers who have previously worked at any facility in this health system must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler - Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed on time to avoid a 2-week start date delay due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule /n /n Requirements/n - Active GA or compact RN license required - Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required - Copies of relevant certifications required for consideration - Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are strongly preferred /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-678185.
