Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Histology Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n Histotechnologist - Histotechnologist /n/n Job Details: /n • Work Monday through Friday night shifts from 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM /n• 13-week assignment duration /n• Minimum 2 years of experience within pathology laboratory specialty required /n• ASCP (HT/HLT) certification required /n• Must have successful completion of formal histology technologist training program or Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences /n• Work in 705A Histology Lab performing histology technician duties /n• Receive specimens from surgery and accession specimens into Cerner system /n• Collect blocks from pathology assistant staff /n• Process tissue, perform embedding, cutting, and staining of slides /n• Work with pathology, cytology, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) specimens within the department /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive pathology department that includes histology, cytology, and immunohistochemistry services.
