Internal Medicine Continuity Clinic Preceptor Location: North Knoxville, Tennessee We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join our Internal Medicine Residency Program as a Continuity Clinic Preceptor. This is a full-time, hospital-employed academic position with a 100% outpatient focus. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing residency program and play a key role in training the next generation of internal medicine physicians in a collaborative, supportive academic environment. Position Highlights: Full-time outpatient position in a residency continuity clinic Serve as a clinical preceptor, supervising and mentoring residents in evidence-based, patient-centered care Guide residents in documentation, order writing, and clinical reasoning through EMR review and oversight Deliver at least two didactic lectures per year Participate in resident evaluations and ongoing professional development Engage in scholarly activities, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration Join a supportive academic team in a newly launched Internal Medicine Residency Program Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program Strong interest in clinical teaching and academic medicine U.S. medical training required (no visa sponsorship available) About the Facility: 172-bed, full-service community hospital in North Knoxville Offers state-of-the-art technology including the da Vinci robotic surgery system, 3D MRI, and advanced ICU capabilities Recently opened a new patient tower and expanded critical care services Home to a new Internal Medicine Residency Program focused on comprehensive, community-based training This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who is passionate about teaching, mentorship, and contributing to a growing academic program in a thriving healthcare system.
